These are the perfect replacement window for period properties; flush sash or flush casement windows deliver a good blend of efficiency & performance you’d expect from modern windows with traditional styling. The simple classic lines deliver an undeniably authentic look, while the contemporary uPVC frames offer outstanding energy efficiency.

Clean Simple Lines.

Heritage properties have appealing character features that always remain popular through the ages. Unfortunately, though, there are drawbacks of such properties, including energy inefficiencies such as dampness & draughts associated with ill-fitting & single glazed windows. Fitting flush sash windows can overcome these issues often associated with beautiful older houses by providing modern levels of warmth & energy efficiency & reducing your energy bills. uPVC construction also results in a window that doesn’t swell, rot, or warp, while never needing repainting.

Alongside the warmth and comfort achieved by fitting new windows to a period property, sound insulation is also an added benefit. In conservation areas, there is often a requirement for homeowners to replicate original windows closely. The clean, simple lines of flush sash windows make them a suitable option for such houses.

Traditional Styling.

Tailor-made for each property, the windows achieve both a visual & physical fit. With the option to specify different colours for the exterior & interior frames, you can complement your interior colour scheme while attaining a more traditional exterior look.

Impressive security credentials and a ten-year insurance-backed guarantee will allow you to enjoy peace of mind from the outset.

Flush Sash Windows FAQs

Yes, other than ‘standard white’ as a colour internally or externally, there is an extra cost if you choose any other colour.
You can replace or add new UPVC windows to your home in normal circumstances without needing planning permission. However, if your building is listed or in a conservation area, you will likely require planning permission.
Traditionally, installing timber sash windows will always be the preferred choice in a conservation area because of their unique character. However, if you want to replace them with energy-efficient uPVC windows, you are allowed to do so as long as their appearance isn’t different from the original design. Before you replace any windows in a conservation area, you will need to speak to the Local Planning Authority and Building Control; it’s important not to do anything until you have advised them of your plans.
